English Parts of Speech App Reviews

The sentences are strange. People do not really use the types of sentences I saw in the tests. It will not be very helpful. I also noticed a lot of slang words, and this will confuse people who are studying English as a second language.

I purchased a bundle and has many different apps from this company. I was excited to improve my grammar but I found a lot of spelling mistakes. I also found grammar mistakes. In fact, so many mistakes I wonder if a native English speaker even double checked the content before these apps were released. Very disappointed.

Ive downloaded this application and started doing a test when I saw a strange question: "Socrates was wiser than...men -most other -many other -all other The correct answer was "all other". And the explanation was pretty crazy, too. Something about "all other" excluding the object from the group. There were more questions like that so I deleted the app. Dear developers, if you are making educational apps, please make an effort and use logic. Thank you in advance.

I am a native English speaker who got this app just for fun. In the first 10 questions about verbs there were 3 mistakes. Will not be able to help you speak or write English correctly. I would give this 0 stars if I could.

Dont waste your time! Looking for an app to help my 9 year old with parts of speech, errors like crazy!

I have a huge issue with this app! This is utterly worthless because not only is it confusing ,but it had three gramatical errors on the first three problems! I, without a doubt, give this app a thumbs down and not only do I not reccomend this app by I highly reccomend NOT to waste your time studying or practicing on this useless app! :(

Like these other people, except Amy, whom I think is the author or wrote her review before taking her test, I think this app is terrible. I also got it for fun and found errors right away. It seems like it was written by someone who learned English as a second language from someone who learned english as a second language, and neither of them tried that hard to get it right.

The information reads like it was writren by a non-English speaker-- as if it were being translated by a computer-program.

Im not a native English speaker, and after reading the reviews Im so upset that I didnt read the reviews before downloading this app.

Especially non-native English speakers. The answers are incorrect and will teach you incorrectly.

If they dont even bother to get the grammar correct in the description of their own app (*for teaching grammar*), I wouldnt expect much of the app itself! Id like to know how the average rating is 4 stars when there are so many 1-star reviews... suspicious.

The programming and design of this app are good but many of the examples are simply incorrect. If you want to learn bad English then this is the app for you... If not — stay away!

Developers English skills are not strong enough to be teaching it. The grammar in this application is terrible and should not encourage itself.

We thought this app would be appropriate for hs aged students or adults who were native English speakers. It was difficult to find the explanations to help with activities and the context knowledge that the test-takers would need would have to be very advanced to fill in correct answers. Something appropriate for students is that the test taker could change the question time allotted. Also, a student can select to receive instant feedback and share scores on Facebook. As teachers, wed like to be able to see student scores and a more interesting interface if we would pay for this app.

Ive read all of the reviews after I got the app and now Im starting to re-think downloading this?..

I hate when apps waste my time.
